The G-55 is Stephen Gallagher’s first introduction to the model line. Stephen is a huge fan of Bluegrass and Flatpicking guitar. Growing up going to festivals with his father Don and seeing some of the greats pick guitar like Doc, Steve Kaufman, Tony Rice and many others, Stephen developed a strong passion for the music. When Stephen returned to the shop in 2004, he started his venture in learning to Flatpick. In 2006 Stephen started studying old time and bluegrass music at the Jim Wood School of Music. After working in the shop for a couple of years and when his flatpick chops had started developing on his old G-65 that was given to him by Don as kid to learn to play, Don let him build a guitar for himself. After building the guitar everybody at the shop decided it should be made in to a permanent model. To introduce the model Stephen Gallagher and Adam Wright hosted a guitar contest along with the Wartrace Music Fest. Two time national Flatpicking champion Roy Curry took home the first prize!
