The GA-55 is the newest small body Gallagher in the line up. Introduced in 2008 the first one was built for Doug Williams of the powerful folk duo of Doug and Telisha Williams. In 2009, a custom GA-55 was chosen by the International Finger style champion Mark Sganga at Winfield, KS the Walnut Valley Festival!
The GA-55 is a Grand Auditorium body with mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack top. The Body is bound with Tortoise and the fretboard and the headstock are unbound. The ebony fretboard has 3mm abalone dot inlays and the headstock has an ebony veneer. The GA-55 has Waverly tuners and is set up with ebony pins and bone nut and saddle.
