CONTEMPORARY LINES

Our Gallagher Guitar Contemporary Lines speak to the needs of a wide range of musicians.  We have incorporate features which distinguish these guitars from their older siblings.

The G-45S Songwriter Series is a new edition of an early model.  The first G-40 was built for Merle Watson in 1968 and later that same year was renamed the G-45.  While relying on previous characteristics, we re-imagined the G-45 with standard features of satin finish, lighter weight construction, and a standard piezo pickup.  This can be your guitar around your home and also a true workhorse guitar to take to gigs.  You can stand out on any stage with this handmade Gallagher guitar.  Our most affordable guitar gives you the same quality built construction and the Gallagher sound that still “rings like a bell.”The Songwriter is also available in black (Nightwriter) and cream  (Nightingale).

As a guitar line, the G-45S can be built in any of the body sizes. (see chart below) All woods and appointments are the same.

The G-60 Line was designed by the new owner, who was turning 60 years of age, with an emphasis on finger-style playing and an earthy, visual aesthetic. This rosewood guitar with a cedar top has rosewood binding and a single band rosewood rosette.  The G-60 line is also offered in all body sizes with the same woods and appointments. Rosewood provides clear, bright highs with enhanced lows so the mids do not tend to be as pronounced.  Its resonance can be heard as dark and complex, with rich overtones and what has been called a metallic in nature.

As a guitar line, the G-60 can be built in any of the seven body sizes, e.g., a G-60m, SG-60, GA-60, Parlor 60.  All of the woods and appointments are the same as the G-60.
